Our Story
La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant is a cherished establishment in Franklin, TN, renowned for its authentic Mexican cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. Founded by Salvador Guzman, La Hacienda is part of a successful family-owned restaurant group with roots in Middle Tennessee and North Alabama. Salvador’s journey began when he moved from Degollada Jalisco, Mexico, to the United States with his family, carrying his dreams and heritage. With inspiration from his mother, Mama Mercedes, who brought her generations-old family recipes, Salvador envisioned a place that could bring true Mexican flavors to his community while involving his entire family in the business.
The first La Hacienda opened in Columbia, TN, in 1991, with the Guzman family fully committed to creating an exceptional dining experience. Every family member contributed to the restaurant's success, from the kitchen to the front of the house, even Grandpa Raul, who rolled up his sleeves to help wash dishes. This dedication has laid the foundation for a legacy of high-quality food and genuine hospitality that continues to flourish across each La Hacienda location today.

This place has good Mexican food. I got the Fajitas Fundida which they made gluten-free by adding corn tortillas instead of flour. This was EXCELLENT. Hit the spot perfectly. The staff is also lovely and inviting. The restaurant gives typical Mexican restaurant vibes with wooden benches and decorative murals.

The food here is simply delicious. My family and I go several times a month it's one of our favorite spots in town. The Guacamole en la Mesa is AMAZING. So are the burritos and the chimichangas I also love the tortilla soup! Best thing on the menu is Shrimp Tacos! The drinks are delicious and strong as well. Service is always great!
